Sunday May 3, 2015, 500 firefighters from around the world will climb the stairs of Calgary's BOW Building, Western Canada's tallest building and the highest elevation in the world, in support of Wellspring Calgary.
Our firefighter heroes will be raising funds to support heroes who fight cancer every day at Wellspring. Hosted by the Calgary Firefighter Benevolent Fund, the brave ones who will ascend 775 vertical feet - 1204 steps - of the BOW Building in full firefighter duty gear. Starting at 3400 feet above sea level, this inaugural climb event is the highest elevation stairclimb in the world!

Attainable Homes is a nonprofit organization and wholly owned subsidiary of The City of Calgary that offers below market housing and is self-funded through a shared equity model so that a portion of the equity in each home will come back to the program upon sale. Attainable Homes contracted Alchemy Communications Inc to create their 2014 Annual Report and a video highlighting their achievements in 2014. This video debuted at their annual City Council meeting and was distributed across various social media platforms.
The annual report theme is Helping Hardworking Calgarians Secure Their Own Homes in Our City and highlights Attainable Homes Calgary's 2014 achievements:

- Passed milestone of 500 homes sold through AHCC

Shelters are the cornerstones of service provision to the homeless in many communities across Canada. The below infographic, published by Inn From the Cold, details some information about services offered by this family shelter in Calgary. It's commonly thought that it’s only single men and women that experience homelessness, however this is simply untrue. Single-parent families and children form a substantial part of Canada's homeless population.
Faced with a critical need to open 35 additional crisis response beds, Inn from the Cold launched Claire’s Campaign, with the support of local businessman Gary Nissen, to raise funds and provide beds to homeless mothers and their children in Calgary.
